We first met Bryan McWayne and Courtney Owens from Thrivent Financial at the Ignite Albany volunteer fair. They wanted to learn more about what we do, so they came to visit our Albany campus--and were so impressed with what they saw that they nominated us to be an organization that their clients could support. Thrivent gives each client some funds to donate to a nonprofit of their choice, and we couldn't be prouder that they've chosen us.
And that's not all. Recently Neil Hellman School leaders asked for help to create a faculty lounge to give staff a place to recharge during the school day. Bryan got a group of his clients together, and they turned an old storage room into a teacher's oasis. They cleaned, painted and decorated, and purchased items like a television and refrigerator to show school staff how much their work is appreciated.
Thank you to Bryan, Courtney, some incredibly generous clients and Thrivent Financial for going above and beyond for our staff and our organization.
